Guide for authors

 JIORS welcomes your submissions. All manuscripts will be refereed by a rigorous evaluation process involving at least two reviews by qualified academic or industrial OR professionals and members of the editorial board. The papers are submitted by uploading JIORS site at http://www.iors.ir/journal/ by considering the following instructions:

 

Word processors : The text should be prepared either by Microsoft Word or Latex and in single-column format.

 

 Language : Articles must be written in good English.

 

 Length : Articles should be as concise as possible. Regular articles should not exceed 25 standard manuscript pages. A standard manuscript page is A4 or letter size, text with 1.5 line spacing, 12 pt font and ample margins. In exceptional cases, the Editors may waive this requirement.

 

Title : Concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulae.

 

 Author names and affiliations : The Authors' affiliation addresses.

 Corresponding Author:

 Abstract: An abstract of between 50 and 150 words should state the purpose of the research and the main results. It must be able to stand alone.

 Keywords : Must be included.

References : The reference list should be sorted alphabetically and numbered. To cite a reference in the paper, use the number of reference list in bracket. Examples for different type of formats are as follows.

 Reference to a journal publication :

    Gallego G.and Van Ryzin G.J. (1994), Optimal Dynamic Pricing of inventories with stochastic demand over finite horizon.  Management Science; 40, 999-1020.

 Reference to a book:

     Saaty, T. L. (2005), Theory and Applications of the Analytic Network Process. Pittsburgh, PA: RWS Publications, 4922 Ellsworth Avenue, Pittsburgh.

Reference to a chapter in an edited book :

     Brunner K, Melzer AH (1990), Money Supply. In: Friedman BM, Hahn FH (Eds), Handbook of monetary economics, North-Holland: Amsterdam; 1, 357-396.

Citing and listing of Web references :

     As a minimum, the full URL should be given. Any further information, if known (Author names, dates, reference to a source publication, etc.), should also be given.

    Web references can be listed separately (e.g., after the reference list) under a different heading if desired, or can be included in the reference list.

Copyright Policy :

 Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously and it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
